"Dilemma Crunchers" is the story of a TV news reporter, Simon Stansfield, and his cameraman, Ryan Jones.

Simon wants more than anything to be a news anchor. He is highly intelligent and motivated, but has one big obstacle; he has a harsh lisp. His cameraman would like to be a reporter, but lost an eye to a chemical accident when he was younger.

Two unlikely heroes, they stumble onto a story that involves a serial killer who is killing comedy writers.

Simon investigates the story with obsessive passion, hoping that if he can solve the case, he will finally be taken seriously as a reporter - that people will finally hear him instead of just his speech impediment.

During his investigation, Simon discovers not only does he know the killer, but that he and Ryan are the prime suspects!

Its only a matter of time. They must solve the case, or be arrested for murder.

This is a comedy, with some dramatic elements, that tests the limits of how far comedy can be pushed into the boundaries of dark realism.

The theme of the film is that if someone is "hungry" enough and works hard enough, he will end up going where he wants to go. Also that disability should never equal professional disadvantage.
